backend

tabs

Every module has his own backend-site, which is accessible over the menu. In the frontend-modules (modules with which you can create a content on your page) there are always the folowing tab available:

  • add: Here you can add new contents like you do it in the frontend. The only difference to the frontend is, that the contents are not assigned to an area but are only be saved and not visible anywhere on any page. You can add them to an area in the frontend later (see add existing content).
  • elements: here you can see all existing contents of the module. On the left side of an entry you can find the preview of the content, beside this you can see o which pages the content was added, if it is visible and who has created it. Her you have the possibility to remove a content from a site or delete it completely.

Of course all modules have their own options and so there are many different tab available, which are adapted for the respective module.

close, minimize and refresh

If you are at the backend-site of any module, you have the possibility to close, minimize or refresh it by using one of the three icons on the top right.

  • close: the backend-site will be closed, changes will not be saved and will be  abolished
  • minimize: the backend-page will be minimized, the content will not be saved, changes will be conserved. You can see a minimized tab on the bottom right of your display, when another backend-site is shown. By clicking on the minimized Backend-Site it will be shown again and the current Backend-site will be minimized.
  • refresh: the backend-site will be refreshed for getting the status quo of the module.
Attention: The changes become lost by clicking the refresh-button.

shortcuts

You are able to create shortcuts for backend-sites you use often. For that you only have to click on the module-icon beside the module-name. The shortcuts are shown on the top-bar beside the menu-button. When you click on any shortcut-icon, you get to the backend-site much faster.
You can also delete shortcuts, for that you darg it an drop it on the shown-up trash-icon.

simple but safe permission-system

With pinion you have the possibility to add several users and define, what they are allowed to do by using a simple but safe permission-system.
In every module you can define, what a user-group (in which can contain many users) is allowed to do with this module, what it is allowed to change, edit or delete. If anything is forbidden, the option will not be visible.
By developing a module the integration of the permission-system is not very difficult...
